If you've always thought that leaving a review on Facebook, Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, Google Books, Kobo, etc., wasn't important, here's proof that it absolutely matters!
My dad and stepmom were at an event an hour away from their home in Chatsworth, IL this past weekend when someone approached them and asked how they knew Jennifer Brooks. After explaining that I am their daughter, they were told that the local library had heard about my books. They checked the internet to see what my books were about and because of the positive reviews I have received, this library decided to start carrying my books. This library is over 500 miles away and I've never stepped foot in it, but my books are going to be on their shelves.
I emailed the Chatsworth Township Library to thank them for carrying my books and promised to advertise their library since they were kind enough to carry my books. So if you live near Chatsworth, IL, please check them out!
I am elated. I can't think of a better word. I know my books are going to be in free little libraries in Colorado soon, too. It's just so exciting to know my books are spreading across the country!
The moral of the story? Don't forget to leave reviews on every book you read! Your kind words can and do make a difference!
